Ever since I was old enough to fire a rifle I have hunted the New Zealand back country. I am very passionate about sharing my passion with others and have been a professional hunting guide for over 29 years and an outfitter for 24 years. I’ve guided in Australia, the USA and New Zealand's best hunting and scenic locations. I am also an International Member of Safari Club International, the New Zealand Professional Hunting Guides Association and is a Master Measurer for Safari Club.

Hunting was introduced to me through my grandfather at a very early age. Finally at 12 years old he considered me strong and fit enough to accompany him on my very first hunt, from there I was hooked and with every weekend that came round I would be chomping to get into the hills. 41 years on and the hills and mountains still hold something special as that first day, searching for that lifetime trophy. I have guided professionally for 12 years here in New Zealand and overseas including North America, BC and Northern Quebec.

My first introduction to hunting was when I was 15 years old, and over the next 40 years I have been lucky enough to call New Zealand my home and have some of the world’s premier big game animals on my doorstep. For the last 12 years trophy hunting has become my passion with many trips into the remote areas of NZ looking for that special trophy. Trophy hunting trips to Canada, the USA,  and Pacific Islands has only added to my enjoyment of this awesome sport. I now enjoy sharing my knowledge with other like-minded hunters to ensure they too have hunts of a lifetime.

Hunting is not only my passion, but a way of life.  I love hunting in the New Zealand back country. I gained an engineering qualification during the 6 years of service in the New Zealand Army.  Further study gained me a diploma in mechanical engineering. Currently, when I am not hunting, I work for a gunsmith, engineering custom rifles and sound suppressors for firearms.".
