Elk

Originally from the USA, Elk were liberated in 1905 into the Fiordland National Park (South West corner of the South Island). They produced heads which were equal to the best heads taken in the USA.

First introduced to New Zealand

Elk can be hunted from the third week of February until the start of August with the Bugle being March/April.

300 - 500 sci

New Zealand Elk can produce trophy heads in the 300 to 500+ SCI class.
